FAQ
Q: What is carbon sequestration? »
Q: Where is the Powder River Basin (PRB)?
A: The PRB is a 120 by 200 square mile area of northeastern Wyoming-southeastern Montana and the setting for America’s energy future.
Q: What is the relevance of this Project and PRB?
A: The PRB contains the single largest source of coal mined in the United States, one of the largest deposits of coal in the world, over 16.5 trillion cubic feet of gas, 1.5 billion barrels of oil, 86.5 million barrels of natural gas liquids and major deposits of uranium, according to USGS.
There are existing sources of industrial and other CO2 nearby for which the Project might provide a sequestration site.
